The rubber soles on these cropped riding boots stay put on my reversible SPD + flat pedals.

So, is this a vintage road bike that you slapped fenders onto? Do you usually roll up your jeans, or how do you not get grease on yourself? I don’t think I noticed this bike in previous posts.

The bike isn’t vintage, it’s a Trek 520 touring bike from about 2 years ago. It’s a classic design. It didn’t come with fenders, we added them. Or I should say Dick added them. They’re not easy to install.

I rarely roll my jeans. Most of the bikes I ride in street clothes have chain guards of some sort. If you look closely you’ll see this bike has a small black guard attached to the chain ring itself. It’s enough to protect my clothes.
