Fashion Friday: The Red Coat is Coming

06 Apr

Who says high viz can’t be high fashion? My fire engine red trench coat screams for attention (in a good way).

That’s marvelous! You look great. :)
(And it contrasts so well with the white! Very sharp.)

There are actually some studies that suggest that red is more visible to drivers than bright yellow or other “high-viz” colors, since their brains are trained to look for things like red lights and stop signs. So you can be fashionable without having to look like you’re in some day-glo army!

I hear you about the day-glo armies. The worst place I’ve seen was London. Seemed like everyone was in high-viz, unlike Paris where no one was–not even police directing traffic.
