Fashion Weekend Edition: Holiday Escape

24 Nov

When your bike tour spans only a holiday weekend and you can hop a ferry to speed your travel, dressing in style is a breeze. A Navy inspired pullover, basic tee and casual shoes are perfect for roaming around Tiburon.

About Fashion Friday: Inspired by a 2011 Bike to Work Day challenge sponsored by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, this series highlights the broad range of “dress for the destination” bicycling fashions.

I would love the details of your weekend. We would love to try it. Did you do day trips from home or stay in the North Bay?

Hi Deb, I’ll definitely post some details soon, probably tonight. We took the Caltrain from Mtn View to SF early Thursday, then rode around the bay and across the Golden Gate to Tiburon. We stayed two nights in Tiburon at Waters Edge hotel right next to the ferry. On Friday we rode the Paradise Drive to San Rafael and back, then rode almost every street on Belvedere Island. On Saturday morning we took the ferry back to SF then the bullet train back to MV. Total mileage for trip was abut 72 miles.
