New Year’s Day was our eighth anniversary, not our first. But it was our first anniversary to make our spare-no-expense, celebratory dinner a bike date. All I needed was a new, shorter dress and some warm accessories. All Dick needed was a Dutch bike with chain guard. I’m surprised it took us eight years to figure this out.

- A new scarf and leather gloves warmly filled out the gaps in my wedding coat.

- Easy-on-and-off leg warmers were cozy on the chilly night ride home.
