When you’re zipping over to the light rail station on your scooter, you need the right accessories: a large close-fitting bag for your laptop, a small bag for your transit pass, sturdy shoes, and a helmet if you’re a novice like me. They say learning new things keeps you young. I don’t know about that, but I feel like I’m 10 again.
When I was a little girl I wanted a pair of red Mary Jane shoes, but Momma said they weren’t practical.
- My little red shoes worked well enough on my little red scooter.
- Every outfit needs the right bag. This outfit needs two.
- The messenger bag from Chrome wraps securely around my back.
- The handlebar bag from Rickshaw keeps the essentials at my fingertips.
- Laptop, sneakers, purse: the large Chrome bag holds that and more!
- I brought the sneakers just in case. I admit my ride home was faster.

You got new shoes as a child? Lucky you. I think all mine were hand-me-downs. My first shoes that weren’t white, brown, or black were yellow. I loved those shoes. Maybe because I bought them myself!

I don’t know how often I got new shoes vs. hand-me-downs, but by the time the fifth daughter rolls around the shoes that you and the other sisters wore were often worn out. Being the third of closely spaced sisters was not an advantage for you, Lucy.
I do remember looking in the Sears catalog at the little girls patent leather shoes which came in white, black and red. They looked like these, but without the bows. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/public/QLwTzAYws-jNL7avDPfV-ynUNlgmuCOt6plJEnFRwxDuv4qOsyOrxG83S1y5dU59wVXKmJzzToSGcOZPb7q2Ob_TQkK7XwqFIPuD4GH-lrAB_UZCQfxIXFRi_fXFmsALwXsXNIzoJ-ih_gO_Pm2fLZeuM91wXDOLXTSmraFkBHe0OD-X7d45Ew=s220-c

Thanks. I loved the scooter the moment I saw it. I’m a sucker for red. I bought the little pouch a while ago to use on the red Dutch bike. I was thrilled when I realized it fit on the scooter too.

Did Razor copy Xootr’s use of larger wheels? I thought only Xootr was using the larger wheels when I bought mine back in 2009. I don’t use it much these days – I wish it were smaller and lighter, like that Razor you’ve got. Would like to test ride one of those some day.
Also, how do you make the little photos in your blog post line up like that into rows and columns? Is that a WordPress plugin?

I don’t know when Razor started offering the larger wheeled A5 model, but I’m sure the larger wheels roll better than their other models. The other models are rated to only 143 pounds too. You’ll have to try it out sometime.
The trick to the little photos is using the gallery feature. How-tos here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode and here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

I have a categorical weakness for red shoes that I like to indulge as often as possible.
