Fashion Friday: Jennifer Races for the Train

16 Aug

How does time just slip away? You’re hard at work and suddenly realize your train leaves in 10 minutes. No time for a clothing change, time for accidental cycle chic. Jennifer races her road bike across downtown San Jose in a pencil slim sheath dress and cycling shoes, and hops on the train with seconds to spare.

Jennifer Kicks

About Fashion Friday: Inspired by a 2011 Bike to Work Day challenge sponsored by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, this series highlights the broad range of “dress for the destination” bicycling fashions.

I only noticed her nails when I was editing the photos. I was bummed that I didn’t get a closeup but I was lucky to even get this shot. I was the only one of the dozen or so photos I took where they showed at all.

Do you find that the shoes really make that much of a difference? I just wear regular clothes and shoes – mostly because I cannot be bothered to carry extras and change.

I like the outfit. Knowing me though I would not be able to dismount without giving the world an eyeful of my underwear

That’s why I wear tights or little yoga shorts underneath. That said, I would like a step through bike.
